It was widely known and regarded as truth in some countries by 2011 that Russia is a typical Asian country with eternal rulers who influenced the life of this world largest country even when they were retired or dead - monarchy according to the lexical meaning of the word. The country have seen several revolutions already - 1825, 1905, 1917 and 1991 are all supposed to be the pivots in the modern history of Russia. But 2011 is somehow different in eleven years’ time.

On the 4th of December we Russians were shown that our humble opinion means nothing to the present authorities, it was the day of our Parliamentary "elections". What really is pissing people off is hypocrisy of mass media - not only that 2-3 governmental channels show everything the same and might easily be replaced with only one - mass media were behaving as if nothing was happening in the streets of lots of Russian cities on the 5th, they were reporting about some holidays in Kamchatka, and many people felt powerlessness of changing anything.
